Help Desk Support Assistant responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support Assistant uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support Assistant advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Help Desk Support Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This role will primarily entail providing support for client computer networks, troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance on PCs and peripherals, and supporting disaster recovery backup solutions. Responsibilities: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a ticket queue Provide support for client computer networks, including business-related technologies such as Windows operating systems, Office 365, Remote Access usage, VOIP, and mobile devices Perform routine maintenance on PCs and peripherals Support disaster recovery backup solutions Escalate tickets as needed Communicate with clients as required, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages Use skills in NCR, PC Desktop - Workstation, PC Hardware, and PC Skills to effectively perform duties and tasks.

Proficiency in NCR systems is required for this role Demonstrated knowledge of PC Desktop - Workstation is essential Strong PC Hardware skills are necessary for this position Applicants must show evidence of well-developed PC Skills Experience as a Help Desk Analyst or in a related role is preferred Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service at all times Willingness to continue learning and stay updated with recent technological developments.
