Help Desk Support Assistant jobs in Los Angeles, CA

Help Desk Support Assistant responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support Assistant uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support Assistant advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Help Desk Support Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     In this position, the IT Help Desk Support will provide technical support, installation/configuration of hardware and software and troubleshooting technical problems.
     
    Responsibilities include:
    • Provision, deploy and maintain user equipment
    • Create new, remove, and perform maintenance on all user accounts
    • Assist users with computer hardware and/or software applications and network connectivity related issues
    • Manage support request
    • Generate and update support documentation
    • Assist tracking hardware/software inventory
    • Basic system administration of Windows servers
    • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the Company Code of Conduct
     Qualifications:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
     Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
    • High School Diploma/GED required.
      Experience: 
    • 1 years of experience in an IT support capacity
    • Familiar with desktop and mobile based operating systems including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Windows Phone, and Android
    • Familiarity with business technology peripherals such as copiers, printers, scanners, projectors, etc.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Basic understanding of networking topologies and protocols (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP)
    • Desire to learn 
    • Excellent communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrated patience and overall courteous behavior
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently; must be self-motivated and goal oriented
    • Must be willing to work in a fast paced, intense environment
    • Must manage and complete multi-functional tasks quickly
    • Must be oriented to thrive in a team environment whereby the collective efforts of the entire group achieve a common goal.
    • Ability and aptitude to be effective and successful in a broadened scope of duties and responsibilities
