Helper- Brick and Stone Mason prepares and lays brick, concrete block, tile, marble, and related materials using chisels, hammers, trowels, and other hand tools and implements. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Helper- Brick and Stone Mason may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Helper- Brick and Stone Mason relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Responsible for assisting with the installation HVAC equipment, duct and fittings as outlined by the lead installer. Maintain required levels of truck stock items.
1. At shop ready to work at 7:30
2. Review project daily with lead or manager, request tools, materials, or equipment needed for the next day by 2:00pm.
3. Complete paper work daily, recording all hours and materials used on each job, turn into manager.
4. Complete quality project on or below budgeted labor hours, to company installation standards.
5. Inform manager by 9:00 or 3:00 of any stocking items, or fabrication needed for the project
6. Assist Warehouse Person or Fabricator if directed with stocking, pulling jobs, deliveries, or fabrication.
7. Keep entire work area neat and organized and free of scrap and debris
8. Other duties as assigned.
