Helper- Brick and Stone Mason jobs in Winston Salem, NC

Carolina Basement Systems is looking for a Mason to add to our growing team!

Salary:

• Starts at $17/hr with eligibility for bi-weekly bonus/commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist our installation teams by:

o Building (and rebuilding!) retaining walls.

o Utilizing and following blueprints, plans, and/or drawings in order to properly lay blocks or bricks.

o Mixing concrete using various equipment and hand tools.

o Cleaning and polishing the surface of finished work.

• Adhere to all quality and safety standards set forth by Carolina Basement Systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous masonry experience required.
• Previous experience in waterproofing preferred.
• An enjoyment for hands-on work.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• An enjoyment in seeing a project through, from start to finish.
• Ability to listen well and follow instructions closely.
• An open mind for new ideas and methodologies.
• Strong ethics and high integrity.
• Commitment to ALWAYS putting the customer first!

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Previous masonry experience required.
• A valid driver’s license required.

• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Physical ability to perform strenuous labor in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects ranging anywhere from 50 to 100 pounds.

Expected hours: 40 per week
