WHAT YOU’LL DO

Job Summary:

• Perform a full range of testing on all patient tissue and fluids submitted to the histology department.
• Prepares quality microscopic slides for the pathologist to review in a timely manner.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Complies with all safety/infection control policies and procedures.
• Must have complete understanding of histology/cytology procedures and the knowledge to troubleshoot problems encountered during testing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Graduate of an accredited histology training program (including hospital based).

Required Experience:

• Minimum: None, will consider recent graduates of an accredited histology training program.

Required Certification/License/Registry: State of Florida, Histology technician
