IDC/RCD is hiring a Histology Lab Manager located at our Iowa Dermatology Clinic, 2^nd Floor.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform all duties of the Histology Technician and meets quality, performance and metric standards
• Monitor daily activities of the laboratory to ensure timely and accurate processing of histology samples
• Facilitate the selection, validation and implementation of new testing and instrumentation
• Establish and monitor department quality assurance and control standards 
• Participate in hiring, training, coaching and discipline of the staff as needed
• Provide timely feedback to staff
• Assist with monitoring attendance and proper time records 
• Develop monthly staff schedules and workflow assignments 
• Make decisions and provide direction regarding process, workflow or staffing during times of ambiguity
• Develop and maintain procedure manuals, updating as needed
• Ensure adequate levels of supplies and reagents to meet workload
• Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, local or other accreditation regulations
• All other duties as assigned

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT?

• Registered Histotechnician (HT)/Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred
• Previous Management experience leading a team required
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in a laboratory
• Experience with vendor relations, contract negotiations and departmental budgeting
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a team member
• Strong computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
