Hoist and Winch Operator sets-up and operates a hoisting machinery. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hoist and Winch Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hoist and Winch Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Position Overview :
Elevator Apprentice assist the Elevator Technicians as directed on all job functions related to the service of all types of elevators, VRCs, and Rack and Pinions.
Elevator Apprentices may be required to work independently and / or supervise others during specific tasks on a job as directed by the Elevator Technician based on demonstrated abilities.
Elevator Apprentices are expected to follow all safety guidelines of HCSG and of the work site and always use safe work practices.
Ideal candidates will have basic electrical experience and be able to work at high elevations.
