Home Care Aide provides household management activities to enable patients in independence at home. Assists patient with self-administered medications and emotional supports. Being a Home Care Aide typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Additionally, Home Care Aide may require CPR certified. The Home Care Aide possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities
Provide health care services in patients residences
Perform household tasks
Transport and accompany patients to doctors appointment or any other outdoor activities
Administer simple prescribed medications
Assist with clients personal care activities
Maintain patients care records and document provided services
Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Requirements:
High School Diploma, Equivalent or Higher
Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
Training:
College of Direct Support - Online classes for DDD Certifications
Preferred
Vehicle for Community Transport
1 year Behavioral Experience
