JOB DESCRIPTION

HHHC is looking for a dynamic and process-oriented Authorization Operations Manager to lead our dedicated team. This pivotal role involves managing the authorization approval process, enhancing our departmental operations, and fostering a team culture of continuous improvement.

THE ROLE

• Manage the procurement of authorization approvals from various payers while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Engage in proactive outreach to case managers to address service renewals, ensuring seamless reimbursement processes and operational excellence.
• Assume full responsibility for all tickets raised to the Authorization Team, delivering swift resolutions, or escalating as appropriate.
• Develop team objectives and foster a collaborative work environment, overseeing 2-3 analysts in a dynamic, deadline driven setting.
• Train newer team members on process workflow and the use of third-party billing and ticketing platforms.
• Manage disciplinary situations with resolve and empathy.
• Act as a liaison with cross-functional teams, including intake, client relations, billing, payroll, and upper management to align departmental goals.
• Contribute to team culture and performance by achieving collective goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6-10 years of work experience with a commitment as a lifelong learner.
• Proven team leadership skills with a knack for project management.
• Knowledge of/ability to quickly learn the home care agency industry.
• Experience with billing systems (e.g., CareVoyant) is a plus.
• An autonomous, proactive problem-solver with a proactive mindset.
• Customer-first mindset.
• Strategic thinker with a quick eye for solutions.
• Exceptional organizational skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities with acute attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive process improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster unity and collaboration among managers and team members.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
