Home Care Agency is looking for a Director of Nursing with strong clinical and regulatory business acumen, is team-oriented and driven to oversee the Skilled Nursing segment of the agency. We are seeking a leader who can enhance the culture of positivity, collaboration, and accountability.
As Director of Nursing, you are responsible for planning, organizing and directing the functions for the Skilled Nursing segment of the agency. You will assume the primary role in ensuring the delivery of high quality, efficient and safe patient care in the comfort of their home. Supervises RN Supervisor, Clinical Nurses, RN’s, LPN’s and CNA’s. In the absence of the Agency Director, you are charged with carrying out clients care policies established by the Agency.

Responsibilities:
· Maintain and guide the implementation of current policies and procedures, which reflect adherence to internal and external regulatory guidelines and principles of person-centered care.
· Conduct new admissions/assessment, reassessment, and supervisory visits to clients.
· Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians, and other team members.
· Recruit, hire, train and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient client care.
· Evaluate and continually update competency/skills checklists for RN’s, LPN’s & CNA’s.
· Set and monitor achievement of goals and objectives for the Skilled Nursing segment of the agency consistent with established philosophy and standards of practice and nursing ethics.
· Develop short and long-term goals for the Skilled Nursing segment of the agency.
· Assure compliance with resident rights policies and work to resolve patients grievances.
· Assist with agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement Program
· Responsible for making sure the agency is ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) compliant.
· Act as resource to agency’s staff for the implementation and assessment of PIPs to improve/enhance quality of patient care and processes.
· Investigates and resolves patient/family member concerns regarding patient care.
· Ensures the highest quality of care is provided to patients by reviewing documentations.
Requirements:
· Must have proven leadership ability with three (3) or more years of experience as an RN
· Supervisory and home care/home health experience preferred.
· Acute, Med/Surg and/or sub-acute experience preferred
· Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate skills related to outstanding time management and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to home care agency.
· Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulation compliance requirements preferred.
· Technologically savvy, proven ability to learn and master new software and use of variety of tech equipment.
· Superior listening, processing, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
