Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a part-time Farm Hand at our beautiful horse farm. As a Farm Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being and care of our horses. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with these magnificent animals while contributing to their health and happiness. Responsibilities:

-Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, watering, and ensuring they have access to clean and fresh bedding.

-Groom and maintain the horses' physical appearance by brushing, cleaning hooves, and providing regular care.

-Monitor the horses' health and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes to the Farm Manager.

-Assist with excercising and training the horses under the guidance of experienced trainers.

-Clean and maintain horse stalls, stable, paddocks, and pastures to ensure a safe and clean environment for the animals.

-Assist with general farm maintenance, and landscaping.

-Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications:

-Experience working with horses and a genuine passion for their well-being.

-Knowledge of basic equine care practices, including feeding, grooming, and handling.

-Ability to recognize common equine health issues and behavioral indicators.

-Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

-Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to animal care.

-Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

-Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced horse handlers and trainers.

-Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Please note that this is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
