The Horse Shoe Farm is an 85-acre boutique resort with eight homes (and more on the way!) in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. This spectacular property is looking for the right person to join the team to perform an array of tasks to guarantee excellent guest service. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, passionate person who can multitask.

The training schedule (tentatively 3-4 weeks in length) for this position will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The typical schedule for this position once trained will be 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. These shifts will vary some due to business needs.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Must be tech-savvy or possess a willingness to learn how to use our systems. We use a number of systems from Resnexus (lodging), OpenTable (restaurant), Vagaro (spa), Slack (messaging app), Gmail (email), Grasshopper (phone system), and Notion (information database)
• Welcoming guests during breakfast and helping our culinary team with breakfast on morning shifts
• Booking reservations via email, phone, and in-person for the homes, restaurant, and spa
• Interact with guests and answering any questions they may have during their stay
• Checking-in dining guests and helping seat during peak times
• Providing warm and helpful concierge services
• Assisting guests with check-out and check-in
• Assessing maintenance items and bringing a solution-oriented mindset to items that may break or need replacement
• Assist with inspecting common areas and grounds prior to guests arrival
• Ordering and inventorying of guest, retail and office supplies
• Answering guest requests, inquiries and complaints in a prompt, positive and solution-oriented manner, including answering after hours calls

Requirements:

• Represent The Horse Shoe Farm through personal appearance, communication and attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and eye for cleanliness and order
• Demonstrate complete ownership of any task through focus, determination and attention to detail.
• Possess a mindset toward achieving the highest level of service and guest experience possible
• Demonstrate an attitude of teamwork by working collaboratively with peers
• Open and receptive to changing needs and priorities
• Welcome suggestions, feedback, and new ideas from staff and guests
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to run local errands in company vehicle if needed
• Ability to climb stairs, bend and lift up to 35 pounds
