Description

The Field Safety Representative is to facilitate daily operations and enhance the effective management of health, safety, and environmental practices through the provision of technical support. The position operates on a 12-hour shift in a 20/10 rotation schedule.

• Collaborate in compliance assessments, general risk evaluations, and other safety appraisals to bolster the Safety management.
• Maintain pertinent Safety records and documentation.
• Assist in adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare necessary Safety reports as required.
• Offer guidance and counsel on Safety matters, making recommendations to facility management.
• Engage in comprehensive incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Champion incident prevention for the welfare of employees and visitors.
• Contribute to the creation and delivery of pertinent Safety training.
• Adhere to Safety regulations, wear all mandated safety gear, promote safe work practices, address evident hazards promptly, or report them to the appropriate personnel.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with employees to facilitate cultural change, even in the face of potential resistance.
• Cultivate positive and proactive relationships with managers, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
• Undertake additional work-related tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to all company and Safety procedures and policies.
• Possess knowledge of and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA), including company Safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in emergency response and provide initial first aid treatment.
• Travel to customer locations for meetings, training, inspections, observations, and more.
• Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Hazard Communication, EAP (Emergency Action Plan), Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 5 years of relevant experience or an Associate degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in computer operations and Microsoft tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective time management skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
