Horse Rider/Exerciser rides racehorses to exercise and condition them for racing. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. This position could be a combination of the following two job descriptions depending on an applicants comfort level with driving horses.
These are part time positions, generally active from April-November. This person is one of the faces of Country Dairy so must be able to interact professionally with every customer that comes to the farm. This person must be passionate about farming and agricultural tourism, including being knowledgeable about farming and about Country Dairy history. Country Dairy will provide this training. This person will need to interact well with people of all ages and from a diverse background. If this employee is also a horse driving specialist, they will be responsible for the safe operation of the horse and wagons during tours, ensuring that Country Dairy guests have an enjoyable and safe experience. They will be the primary wagon driver and will need to be a positive face for Country Dairy.
