Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hospice Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage all aspects of the hospice program, including finance, operations, and staff management
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, continuous learning, and individual growth
    • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
    • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience as a hospice DON or Administrator preferred
    • Consideration will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of experience as a hospice nurse, possessing exceptional leadership skills
    • Demonstrated success in managing hospice programs and achieving business objectives
    • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle management
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
    • Proficient in navigating the healthcare regulatory environment, and ensuring compliance
    • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
