Hospice Supervisor jobs in Richmond, VA

Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hospice Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Hospice of Virginia is seeking an RN Supervisor to join their leadership team in Richmond.

    Earn up to $110k plus a quarterly bonus. Generous time off package, 401k match and so much more!

    Location: Richmond, VA

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Some on-call required.

    Qualifications:

    • Possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse or the equivalent license and education to practice as a healthcare professional in the practicing state
    • Minimum five years’ experience as a healthcare professional; including two years of supervisory experience in healthcare, homecare or hospice
    • Demonstrated administrative ability including knowledge of health care policies and program responsibilities
    • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required
    • Must possess current CPR Certification

    What You’ll Do:

    • Oversee delivery of patient services and compliance with agency policies
    • Develop policies, procedures and guidelines to fulfill program objectives
    • Oversee scheduling, supervision, and on-going educational programs for all professional and paraprofessional staff providing direct patient services
    • Implement and monitor a quality assurance program or supervise designated QA staff
    • Oversee the maintenance of medical records, assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with licensing regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards
    • Plan and implement staff education program for all team members
