Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hospice Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Overview:
    We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Chaplain to join our interdisciplinary team. The Chaplain will provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families, fostering an environment of comfort, peace, and understanding during their end-of-life journey.

    Responsibilities:

    • Offer spiritual guidance, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families in accordance with their individual beliefs, values, and cultural backgrounds.
    • Conduct spiritual assessments and develop care plans that address the spiritual needs of patients and families.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of well-being.
    • Facilitate discussions on end-of-life issues, grief, loss, and bereavement.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support during times of emotional distress or spiritual questioning.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and educational sessions.

    Qualifications:

    • Ordained and endorsed by a recognized religious or spiritual organization.
    • Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited theological institution.
    • Certification or licensure as a chaplain preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing spiritual care and counseling in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
    • Understanding of ethical and legal standards related to spiritual care and patient confidentiality.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
    • Compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to supporting patients and families.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must adhere to the Code of Ethics for Chaplains.
    • Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
