Hotel Manager Assistant is responsible for supporting the Hotel Manager with daily hotel operations and services. Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, responds to complaints, and ensures hotel profitability. Being a Hotel Manager Assistant tends to all facets of hotel operations in the absence of the Hotel Manager. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Hotel Manager Assistant typically reports to a manager. The Hotel Manager Assistant manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hotel Manager Assistant typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction
- Manage and train staff members to maintain high standards of performance
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary goals
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the sales team to attract new business and maintain existing client relationships
Experience:
- Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer systems used in the hospitality industry
