Job Summary: The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. This includes conducting routine inspections, diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, and implementing preventive maintenance measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's premises, guestrooms, and public areas to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management, and address any issues efficiently and professionally.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
Maintain records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory.
Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to guests.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, and promptly report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure that all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as directed by management.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance techniques through training and professional development opportunities.
