Hotel Manager manages all aspects of the hotel property including operations, staffing, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for maximizing operational efficiency and profitability. Being a Hotel Manager monitors all operating costs, budgets, and forecasts. Oversees property maintenance and appearances. Additionally, Hotel Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Hotel Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Hotel Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. You impact every aspect of the guests stay. You touch all departments as your work takes you into all areas of the hotel. Guest service, team work and a drive to keep the property Duties include cleaning cleaning all hotel common areas and maintaining them during your shift, assisting the laundry and housekeeping departments, setting up the meeting space and servicing, and landscaping and maintaining outside of the hotel. May include driving the hotel van and light maintenance projects.
