    What you’ll do:
    The Brass Tacks
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to the Restaurant Assistant General Manager and Supervisor(s) as you collaborate with them to manage daily operations and the team.
    • Oversee preparation of weekly schedules for all restaurant outlets that adapt to reflect service level needs as business volumes fluctuate.
    • Work with the Executive Chef and their team to manage menus, inventory, and ordering.
    • Submit payroll for front of house staff before deadline each pay period.
    • In coordination with restaurant managers, conduct all hiring for staff across all outlets.
    • Set expectations and train team members to flex across outlets as business needs and team availability may dictate.
    • Meet with distributors and wine makers and attend off-site tastings in pursuit of building and maintaining one of the best wine lists in the region.
    • Train and supervise all front of house staff in proper service etiquette and continuously test server knowledge to build competence and ensure tableside excellence.
    • Coordinate with Executive Chef, their team and Banquets and Catering leadership to define, plan, and execute private events in outlets and event space on or off property.
    • Oversee all aspects of front of house service etiquette.
    • Manage all aspects of the dining room, assigning tables, creating an efficient flow for both front and back of house.
    • Provide continuous developmental feedback and coaching plus conduct yearly OMG performance reviews with all regularly scheduled front of house staff.
    • Work with property leaders to promote staff cross training and increase efficiency.
    • Work with the General Manager to develop and maintain a marketing strategy that targets our clientele and draws new customers.
    • Work with General Manager and Executive Chef to define and deliver a compelling array of food and beverage amenities.
    • Monitor and maintain par levels of service ware and other products our front of house team had inventory responsibility for.
    • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports that reveal business, customer and service trends. Leverage for insights to pursue continuous improvement.
    The Nitty Gritty
    • 5 years directly relevant experience in a comparably upscale dining environment.
    • Wine Service Certification (International Sommelier guild Wine Fundamentals 1 or 2 or other certifications) strongly preferred.
    • The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required.
    • Thorough understanding and adherence of regulations service regulations such as those established and enforced by the Liquor Control Board and Health Department.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior managers, clients, customers, and the public.
    • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook plus a working knowledge of POS and reservation systems.
    • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
