Hotel Manager manages all aspects of the hotel property including operations, staffing, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for maximizing operational efficiency and profitability. Being a Hotel Manager monitors all operating costs, budgets, and forecasts. Oversees property maintenance and appearances. Additionally, Hotel Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Hotel Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Responsibilities
Planning, Recruitment, Selection, Retention & Personnel:
· Manpower planning
· Matters pertaining to recruitment, selection, retention & termination of service of employees.
· Assist in preparation of budget estimates in r/o personnel & administration.
· Increment, Promotion, Appraisal, Re-designation, Exit interview etc.
2. Training & Development:
Induction & Orientation Training
Coordinating training for various categories of personnel of the Hotel with HOD’s.
Coordination for Management Trainee program, Summer Training etc.
3. Supervision of following:
Time office Management: Matters in r/o attendance/records, timekeeping, leave record, absenteeism.
Payroll & compensation Management: Wages and employee benefits fixation and allied matters.
Performance Management
Final settlements of departing employees.
4. Staff Welfare, Discipline & Grievance handling:
All matters pertaining to Staff discipline, misconduct etc
Assisting the management in formulating policies and promoting management & staff relations.
Matters pertaining to Staff welfare and amenities.
Handling expeditiously employee grievance cases and assisting in reconciliation.
Managing Employee Engagement Events.
· Ensure smooth handover and takeover from the leaving employees/new joinees
· Ensuring the completion of all files, records and other documents of the employees
· Conducting monthly virtual meet of all employees to motivate them and declare ‘employee of the month’
5. Statutory Compliances:
Compliance with all the applicable rules & regulations of
the State.
6. Administration:
Maintain an effective system of general office administration records and reports.
Looking after Administration & handling disciplinary issues.
1. Others to carry out any other activity, which comes within the scope of your work and may be desired by the management.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree, Diploma in HR/ IR/ PM
At least 5 years proven working experience as HR Manager other HR Executive
