House Supervisor provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Being a House Supervisor supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities and ensures adequate staffing for the oncoming shift. Handles occurrences during the shift, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication. Additionally, House Supervisor determines the issues to be referred to the Administrator on call. Collaborates with patients, family members and physicians to ensure needs are met and problems are resolved. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). The House Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Summary:
Talbert House's Community Care in Warren/Clinton County is seeking a passionate prevention professional to lead and manage the Prevention Services Team. Our Prevention Supervisor will provide guidance for staff regarding direct services to both local school and community programming. The ideal candidate would have experience utilizing evidence-based curriculums with diverse populations and possess an OCPS or higher, or the ability to obtain that credential within a year. This position would also be involved in community education events that could require occasional evening and weekend work. This position is funded in part by the Mental Health Recovery Board which services Warren and Clinton counties, so developing and maintaining that relationship is key.
