House Supervisor provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Being a House Supervisor supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities and ensures adequate staffing for the oncoming shift. Handles occurrences during the shift, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication. Additionally, House Supervisor determines the issues to be referred to the Administrator on call. Collaborates with patients, family members and physicians to ensure needs are met and problems are resolved. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Residential Supervisor assists with supervising and managing of day-to-day operations of Miracles residential unit. The Residential Supervisor also supervises the treatment technicians. These responsibilities include training the treatment technicians, helping admit and discharge clients, inspecting housing units for safety and cleanliness, helping in reinforcing program conduct expectations, and managing clients’ treatment in accordance to the treatment plan with the multidisciplinary team. The position guides treatment technicians in oversight of the residential units and safely carrying out the treatment program while ensuring the welfare of all clients. The position will be primarily responsible for assisting the treatment technicians in supporting the clients in their treatment, observing and documenting day-to-day behaviors and activities, and reporting to the clinical team to constantly update each individual's treatment plan. The position may also assist with campus evening activities including supervision of scheduled program activities and off campus groups.
Hours of work for this position are scheduled by the Program Director Sunday through Saturday, with a 40-hour workweek. Evening, overnight and weekend treatment technician supervision is a regular part of the job. Typical hours are evening hours scheduled between 12 PM and midnight. The incumbent will have ‘on-call’ responsibilities and will be required to respond to emergency and other situations during and after normal business hours.
