Housekeeper works to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance duties which may include: vacuuming, dusting, item washing, trash collecting and proper sorting. Being a Housekeeper may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Housekeeper possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Housekeepers are primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways and public areas within the hotel.

Perform cleaning and
sanitizing tasks and services throughout the hotel.
· Stock cleaning cart with guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen. Use cleaning cart to transport supplies to each room assigned.
· Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
· Clean and disinfect bedroom and sitting areas.
· Wipe and dust all surfaces in rooms and clean mirrors.
· Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
· Remove dirty pillow cases, sheets, mattress pads, comforters, blankets and towels.
· Replace and neatly tuck clean sheets, blankets, comforters, mattress pads and pillowcases on beds.
· Stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms.
· Picks up and empty trash containers.
· Notify maintenance if something is not working properly in a guest room.
· Communicate and assist guests when necessary.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Responsible for signing in/out keys.
Requirements:
· Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
· Must be detail-oriented and thorough.
· Ability to be discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
· Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
· Ability to manage your time efficiently
· Must maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming while wearing a uniform and name tag.
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
· Cleaning Experience (1 year)
· This position requires strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
· Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
· Must pass a background check
· Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
· Ability to walk up and down stairs.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work at a fast pace.
