Housekeeping Manager manages the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Inspects facilities, recommends upgrades when needed. Being a Housekeeping Manager establishes workflows, standard procedures and quality control plans. Responsible for the maintenance of vendor/supplier relationship. Additionally, Housekeeping Manager may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Housekeeping Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Housekeeping Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Description: Housekeeper

    Major Function: Responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement and supply of guestrooms in an assigned section.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times.

    2. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.

    3. Use guests’ names in all interactions.

    4. Promptly respond to all guest-related concerns including but not limited to complaints and special requests.

    5. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures.

    6. Know how to clean guestrooms to standards.

    7. Know how to perform basic routine maintenance as well as how to properly operate all mechanical units within the guestroom.

    8. Know how to operate all laundry equipment.

    9. Keep maintenance personnel informed of all maintenance needs.

    10. Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with Safari Hospitality and brand standards.

    11. Personal cleanliness and neat appearance are required. Shoes must be low heeled and have heels and toes closed.

    12. Practice safety standards at all times.

    13. Be able to move miscellaneous items weighing up to 40 lbs. Please inform property management if you are unable to meet this requirement so they can determine if a reasonable accommodation can be made.

    14. Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

    15. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may from time to time be established by Safari Hospitality, is essential to the successful performance of the position.

    16. Sign out and maintain possession of room section keys that will allow access to assigned guestrooms.

    17. Ensure guest satisfaction through room cleanliness and attention to guest needs.

    18. Clean daily room allotment within prescribed MPR(minutes per room)(30) parameters while maintaining established standards.

    19. Check fixtures, television, radio, and heating/cooling equipment for proper operation.

    20. Set heating/cooling equipment and radio on proper setting.

    21. Inspect room for maintenance needs and report on maintenance service requests.

    22. Perform daily general clean duties and changing of bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads, and shower curtains as assigned.

    23. Clean, organize and restock cart at the end of the day (terry, cups, toilet paper, rags, and fill spray bottles).

    24. Maintain cart, linen room(s), storeroom(s), and vacuum cleaner cleanliness.

    25. Turn in keys and room status report to direct supervisor.

    26. Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous and unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor or a management employee.

    27. Turn in all items found in employee’s working area to the property Lost and Found department.

    Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

    Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned, of which the employee is capable.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
