Housekeeping Manager manages the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Inspects facilities, recommends upgrades when needed. Being a Housekeeping Manager establishes workflows, standard procedures and quality control plans. Responsible for the maintenance of vendor/supplier relationship. Additionally, Housekeeping Manager may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Housekeeping Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Housekeeping Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     JOB SUMMARY
    Under the direction of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, the Director of Housekeeping is responsible for cleanliness in the Clubhouse and cottages in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Club and Dormie Network. The housekeeping team tends to the cleaning and housekeeping needs of the Clubhouse and cottages, ensuring that members and guests have an experience that is enjoyable and world-class.
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Responsible for ensuring daily cleanliness of clubhouse, comfort station and cottage areas.
    • Lead housekeeping team to follow all protocols for timely cottage turnover and optimal presentation for incoming members and guests.
    • Assist in the set-up, maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of the clubhouse and cottages storage areas.
    • Greet members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure the proper stock of supplies is on hand and stored in an organized fashion.
    • Assists other areas of the club as needed.
    • Maintains club personal appearance standards, wearing assigned uniform.
    • Adheres to all Dormie Network’s policies and procedures.
    • Works with all other employees to become an efficient working team.
    • Must be well mannered, display a smile at all times, greet guests, members, and fellow employees when encountered, show appreciation to the guests and the members, and demonstrate a willingness to help guests and members at all times.

    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Previous experience in customer service leadership position preferred.
    PHYISCAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    • Able to bend, stretch, twist, and turn when laundering and cottage set up / tear down.
    • Must be able to visually inspect cleanliness of cottage and other required areas.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Able to communicate with others.
