Position Overview:

As the Head Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel. You will lead, train, coach, and counsel our housekeeping staff to uphold our high standards of cleanliness and service. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling staff, managing inventory levels, placing orders for supplies, and inspecting rooms for cleanliness and reporting maintenance issues.

Responsibilities:

Lead, train, coach, and counsel housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to cleaning standards and guest service protocols.

Develop and implement efficient cleaning procedures to maximize productivity and maintain cleanliness standards.

Schedule housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation.

Keep par levels of cleaning supplies and amenities and place orders as necessary to maintain inventory.

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

Create work orders for maintenance issues identified during inspections and follow up to ensure timely resolution.

Monitor and evaluate housekeeping performance and provide feedback to staff to promote continuous improvement.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.

Uphold hotel policies and procedures related to safety, security, and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in housekeeping or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service principles preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.
