Housekeeping Supervisor jobs in Gastonia, NC
Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Qualification/Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate personnel within the Environmental Services to include laundry, and housekeeping
- Must meet company policies and state and federal regulations regarding environmental services
- Maintain required records, operate within budget, purchase supplies within budget
- Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, safe and orderly. Strict adherence to procedures involving chemicals, hazardous equipment or objects
- Knowledgeable on duties of Housekeeping and Laundry Aides
