Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. The purpose of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to train and supervise the housekeeping team, with the direction of the Dir/Mgr Housekeeping and/or General Manager so that they provide exceptional cleanliness in all guest rooms and public areas of the hotels. As well as superior customer service to assure the highest possible level of guest satisfaction while looking at the best business practice for the hotel.
Position Description:
· Directly report to Assist Dr/Mgr of Housekeeping and/or General Manager in select, train, supervise, schedule, develop, discipline, and counsel of associates in the housekeeping Department.
· Inspect and evaluate the cleanliness of designated guest rooms.
· Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the property and submit
Recommendations: repairs, painting & furnishing.
· Manage the Housekeeping Office
· Conduct inventory and assist in placing orders directed by the Dir/Mgr Housekeeping and/or General Manager.
· Other duties as assigned or as needed to create Signature Moments for our
Guests.
· Organize, track, and secure lost and found items
Position Requisites:
· Considerable knowledge of housekeeping policies, procedures, equipment,
supplies, and bookkeeping procedures.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines
· Behaves with integrity, honesty and is open with guests and fellow associates.
· Develops effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside
representatives and agencies.
