Full Time Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Calhoun Housing Authority is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, responsible individual with a high customer service standards and strong work ethic for a Full Time Maintenance Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician maintains and performs interior and exterior repairs in/on apartment buildings/units and grounds/common areas.

Typical duties include:

Minor electrical maintenance/repair, minor plumbing maintenance/repair, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, appliance installation repair/maintenance/installation, HVAC maintenance/diagnostics/repair, computerized work order entry, preventive maintenance (filter changes, systems serving, etc.), and occasional after hours/emergency maintenance.

On-Call required (rotating schedule)

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Additional Qualifications

Including but not limited to:

Minimum 3 years' experience in apartment maintenance or related field.

Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment.

Valid driver's license.

Additional information:

Pay range $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.
