Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Office Assistant performs a wide variety of typing and clerical tasks related to office operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Uses word processing to prepare a variety of reports, correspondence and miscellaneous tasks from rough drafts or reports, ensuring on time, accurate documents. Answers incoming telephone calls, directing to the correct person, addressing and resolving caller needs, or taking detailed messages. Greet and direct visitors as needed. Maintains all applications for housing and HUD forms used for new tenants. Receives receipts and secures payment from tenants.
Requires four years of high school (or equivalent) and six to twelve months’ related clerical experience in an office environment; or a combination of education and experience. Proficient in using software such as WORD and EXCEL to perform tasks.
