We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the Account Payables and Accounts Receivables staff members who perform the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. This includes managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate records of company finances
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience required. An Associate's degree with 4 years of related experience will be considered.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in accounting software such as ERP or similar systems
- Familiarity with governmental accounting principles (LIHTC experience a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and audit preparation
