Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will maintain the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including staffing and recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration and maintaining employee records. The role reports to the President and General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Tracks and reviews candidate assessments, mandatory and non-mandatory training, including OSHA and HIPAA, continuing education and tech certifications.
· Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; manages the application verification and background checks and conducts first day new hire orientation.
· Manages annual employee recognition programs.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including benefits, unemployment matters, employee engagement, performance management, answers routine policy questions, OSHA and safety.
· Maintains employee records in the HRIS system.
·Handles inquiries from applicants, employees and managers, referring complex and sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources.
· May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
·High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
·One to three years of human resource management experience.
