General Information:

Job title: Human Resources Assistant

Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Weekend rotation: No Weekends

Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant position performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow and explain organizational policies and procedures to employees.
• Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. Refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
• Provide clerical support to HR department.
• Maintain employee files by scanning documents into electronic personnel file, documents all provided information into staff records, and ensure the collection of all requirements based on the employee's position.
• Facilitate new employee orientation, present on HR topics, and keep everyone up to date on the schedule and presenters.
• Oversee the job shadow program.
• Ensure licensures are all up to date.
• Conducts annual background checks and for newly onboarded employees.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 years of related work experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Intermediate to Expert proficiency with computers is required.
• Knowledge of human resources practices and employee records systems beneficial.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
