Starting out as a humble celery farm in 1926, DUDA’s business operations today include Duda Farm Fresh Foods, one of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of celery and other quality fresh and fresh-cut vegetables and citrus; The Viera Company, a highly regarded community developer with fully-integrated real estate operations including Viera Builders, a residential home builder; as well as Duda Ranches, manager of DUDA’s agricultural operations including sod, sugarcane, citrus and cattle. A. Duda & Sons, Inc. has an opening for an hourly paid Accounting Assistant II who will be responsible for reviewing vendor invoices in order to process payments, maintaining vendor invoices received in the 'Vendor Invoice' library, and tracking ADV's received from the locations. This position will also be responsible for creating payment journals for the Auto ACH invoice journals that have been matched with the bank scripts and matching the journals with the posted report and sending the journals to the scan room. The Accounting Assistant II’s duties include the following: Review Invoice Journals/ADVs/POs Maintain Vendor Invoice Library Log Invoice Journals/ADVs received from locations Vendor set up Match posted General Journals to report Reconcile bank statements Process void checks An Associate Degree in Accounting as well as 1 year of previous accounting experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing are also required.
