We at Talon Management Services support Red Robin and Wingstop since 1993.
The HR Generalist assists with Human Resources related functions and contributes to nurturing the culture within all business entities operated by the Company. This individual is a leader in driving Talent Acquisition, Learning &
Development, engagement programs and other general HR functions. They also provide support as needed to the
rest of the Human Resources team, while ensuring completion of assigned projects and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry
Talent Acquisition, Learning Management System, HR Information System experience
Willing to participate in training delivery, presentations and public speaking
Required Qualifications:
Ability to travel.
Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills are a must.
Ability to Interact with different levels of the organization.
Able to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines without follow up.
High degree of initiative, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize.

Full Job Duties
Talent Acquisition:
Manages a full cycle recruiting process at the management level, corporate office and works with HR Business Partner on hourly recruitment through the use of the ATS system, including but not limited to:
- Attracts candidates by placing job advertisements via job sites, job boards and social media
- Builds candidate sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges & career fairs, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing company information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Manages company Indeed account, searches for management resumes, gets notifications of company resumes being posted and analyzes comparable industry advertising trends.
- Determines candidate qualifications by interviewing candidates, analyzing responses, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Schedules subsequent interviews throughout the hiring process.
- Runs backgrounds on candidates and conducts follow up verifications as necessary.
- Makes offers, completes onboarding, manages IIX for newly hired Managers and corporate office hires.
- Organizing job description updates for new positions and existing ones.
- Works with HRBP to maintain paperless onboarding systems for various entities within the Company.
- Creates weekly staffing report which includes total active Team Members.
- Creates as needed a staffing analysis for each store comprised of time to hire, wages, turnover, etc.
- Assists in the creation of any recruiting brochures, flyers or promotional materials and distributing said materials.
- Track and monitor Team Member recruitment expenses.
Learning & Development:
- Creates and manages training for all hourly positions.
- Executes and oversees completion of training through the LMS.
- Ensures proper execution of hourly training programs and standards, including but not limited to: Proper pars of trainers and training leads (if applicable) in all entities
- Proper systems execution
- Works closely with store level managers to ensure compliance and accountability to company standards
- Acknowledging great execution of training standards through entity specific recognition programs
- Ensures proper execution of entity specific performance management system
- Prepares and leads meetings with lead trainers as necessary
- Ensures tools and systems needed for training are up to date and replaced as necessary
- Promotes and oversees hourly level leadership development and coordinates appropriate training (i.e. Internal Development Path)
- Works with HRBP in coordinating training seminars and companywide initiative rollouts.
- Works with HRBP in the creation of any training brochures, flyers or promotional materials and distributing said materials.
- Monthly training reports, including tracking of training completion.
- Coordination and On-site support for NRO (New Restaurant Opening) training.
Engagement:
- Maintains and manages the yearly engagement calendar, including proposing new engagement days.
- Executing companywide engagement activities and events.
- Coordinates and oversees hourly and management level incentive programs and events.
- Recommends new incentive and/or retention programs.
- Communicates any HR related topics company-wide campaigns.
- Communication and tracking of Team Member recognition including, but not limited to: graduation and promotion announcements, Manager of the Quarter and Team Member of the Month tracking and organization, birthday and anniversary recognition, development spotlights, etc.
- Coordinates with Multi-Unit Leader(s) on identifying any restaurant not executing engagement to standard and implementing solutions
Leaves of Absence:
- Review and process Leave of Absence (LOA) requests, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Medical, Personal, Military (USERRA) and any leave that may qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Written and oral communication to Team Members and Payroll Department, coordinating benefits premiums payments as necessary.
- Monitor LOA time limits and ensures consistent application of leave policies across all entities within the Company in accordance with all federal, state and local guidelines.
Workers’ Compensation Program:
- Process and monitor all claims and ensure specific state requirements are met
- Act as liaison between Team Members, insurance carriers and providers as well as all communication to involved parties.
- Coordinate modified duty with Team Members, insurance carriers and management.
- Participate in company’s safety program by acting as an advisor for the Safety Committee. This will include attending all meetings, maintaining documentation (Minutes and Best Practices) and providing worker’s compensation and guest liability data to the members in support of the Safety Committee Chairperson.
General Liability:
- Process and manage all general liability claims.
- Obtain documentation, pictures and videos based on legal guidelines and works with adjuster to obtain additional information.
- Work with insurance company provided legal team to address any formal complaints/suits.
- Attend depositions and testify as required.
- Communicate with any of our parent companies on any formal complaints/suits if listed as co-defendant.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with HR regulatory environment including, but not limited to FMLA, USERRA, ADA,EEOC and HIPAA and preservation of all evidence in all aspects of their role as well as maintain Team Member medical documents separately.
- Prepares and presents HR related topics for meetings as assigned.
- Enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Completes HR projects as assigned.
