Summary Description
The Human Resources Generalist will assist the Director of Human Resources in supporting the organization, across multiple states of operation, in all areas of human resources. The position will participate in fulfilling confidential responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding & offboarding, compensation analytics, performance management, employee relations, personnel file administration, Worker's Compensation, FMLA, Unemployment, employee retention, recognition programs, and training.
Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the HR leadership team to translate business needs into practical HR/people-oriented strategic and operational plans which ensure the attraction, recruitment, development, engagement, and retention of talent.

Establish and maintain credible relationships with employees and business leaders to support a balance between employee advocacy and organizational effectiveness

Provide support and guidance to supervisors, leadership, and employees to address and resolve specific employee issues, management, conflict resolution, discipline, and sensitive investigations and/or terminations.

Manage employee compensation process including raises, and ensure competitive base and incentive pay programs.

Develop and implement strategies for employee training, continuing education, recognition, and engagement to maintain a strong company culture

Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives

Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise

Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace

Conduct employee-related investigations in a timely, objective manner

Provide data as requested to support audit and compliance functions

Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies

Undertake tasks around performance management

Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics

Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly

Ensure compliance with labor regulations
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field

3-5 years of HR experience
-
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and procedures

Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems. Paycom experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a highly confidential nature

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources

Must have above average oral & written communication skills
