KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Support the HR Manager in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and best practices.

Assist in developing and executing policies and procedures.

Perform tasks required to administer/execute HR programs including but not limited to benefits, compensation, disciplinary matters, terminations, hiring, compensation, performance/talent management, occupational health/safety and processing of unemployment claims.

Suggest new processes or policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of the department and company.

Collaborate with managers/supervisors to understand competencies required for open positions.
-
Assist the HR team in developing effective recruitment/retainment strategies.
-
Recruit/facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants and works with temporary agencies on recruitment efforts.
-
Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees, supervisors and candidates with matters related but not limited to FMLA, conduct, policies, procedures, policies, organizational change, workers compensation, and other employee-relations matters.

Coordinate and conduct tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS).

Proactively support and lead employee engagement efforts/activities supporting initiatives that promote and engage a committed workforce.

Serves as backup to the HR Manager by providing support and management of employee relations issues.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business or related field is required.

Two or more years proven success in an HR role required, manufacturing a plus.

Knowledge and understanding of company group benefit programs and employment-related laws and regulations preferred.

Ability to plan and prioritize while zeroing in on what is important.

Ability to inspire and motivate others through passion and enthusiasm.

Must be humble and mission driven with a bias for action.

Demonstrate a positive, welcoming, “Above & Beyond” attitude.

Resourceful with a strong attention to detail.
-
Excellent analytical and conflict resolution skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and a high level of confidentiality while communicating effectively with all levels of the organization.

Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (ADP Workforce Now, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to conduct training or speak to small or large groups of people.
-
Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
