Job Description:
Torch Technologies is seeking a Human Resources Generalist II to provide assistance in the areas of compensation and benefits, to include reward and recognition programs. This position supports the Corporate Human Resources Department in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter with HR experience in HRIS data entry, reward and recognition programs (such as continuous service awards and spot awards), and development of job descriptions and other department documentation.
- Oversees the company’s Reward and Recognition Program to include: managing the quarterly continuous service awards spreadsheet and working closely with the employee rewards vendor to obtain awards for employee distribution, coordinate distribution of awards, prepare special awards for quarterly All-Hands meetings, and process spot awards and manage relationships with the reward vendor.
- Maintain the company active retiree list to include adding and removing retirees and assist with transition of retirees from active status to alumni status.
- Perform data entry of employee pay and status changes to include understanding unique Torch system codes and when to assign codes based on the employment action being processed.
- Conduct audits of HR system information and check data entry for errors and correct when necessary.
- Manage the job description library and assist with developing and maintaining job descriptions.
- Prepare data for compensation and benefit surveys and submit data for compensation surveys when needed.
- Will assist with management of compensation structures and other compensation-related tasks.
- May perform some activities in support of the benefits department when needed (i.e. open enrollment, health fairs, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Must have strong analytical skills to conduct basic research, analyze data and prepare recommendations.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be able to perform high volume of data entry in connection with job duties.
- Ability to communicate professionally, orally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization.
- U.S. Citizenship required

- Deltek CostPoint experience
- 3-5 years’ experience preferred
