Vali is currently seeking candidates with a background in talent management, performance management, classification, career development, change management, communications or training to serve as a Human Capital Generalist supporting the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL.
Essential job functions may include but not be limited to:
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Provide HR program management support and communications
- Assist with HR-related actions, in/out processing, and other functions as needed
- Review, track, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
- Track, analyze, edit, and report personnel actions related to recognition programs
- Facilitate receipt, distribution, and completion of certificates of eligibility to hiring officials, schedule interviews, and prepare and coordinate required personnel staffing packages
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices
- Thoroughly review policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Provide training support as needed
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Comprehend the use of metrics, trends, and work monitoring to ensure the completion of timely and quality work
- Update, draft, and research HR-related policies and documents
- Provide excellent customer service to the workforce
- Measure, track, and report results of current initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Required Skills/Experience:
- Current or prior MDA or DoD experience required
- Proficiency with the organizations' Human Resource and talent management systems is a must
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, as well as time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate
- Ability to act with professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience communicating with and training/presenting to leaders
Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Human Resource professional certifications are desirable
- Eligibility for higher labor categories is based on additional years of experience
Clearance Requirement(s):
- Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret level security clearance; Candidates with an active Secret clearance preferred.
