JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support to the Human Resources function. This position contributes to Human Resource practices aimed at the recruitment and retention of a superior workforce and fosters a high-performance, employee-oriented culture at Neighborhood Health Services Corporation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supports the recruitment function, managing candidate data and coordinating new hire paperwork.
Monitor and administer leaves of absence, i.e. FMLA, workers comp, vacation, and personal leave, etc.
Verify and process Personnel Action forms for all non-salary employment changes.
Assist with employee benefits administration, communication and inquires.
Coordinate and reconcile benefits deductions/changes with insurance companies and benefits providers as requested by the HR Director.
Monitors the expiration and renewal of employment records, I-9, licenses, and other pertinent employment documents.
Provide timely response to miscellaneous staff inquiries and assist with clarifying organizational policies and procedures.
Run miscellaneous monthly reports
Assist with various research and special projects and perform other duties as assigned, to enhance the day to day operations of the Human Resources department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Solid understanding of HR generalist functions, talent management, benefits and total rewards, training, employment compliance, employee and labor relations, HRIS and ATS.
Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, and monitor own work to ensure the highest quality
Minimum of two years of Human Resources administrative experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or 5 years relevant experience
Additional Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist may be required to perform other duties as assigned. If such work becomes a permanent and regular part of the job a revised job description will be developed.

The Human Resources Generalist will be expected to perform any related duties as required by NHSC. As with all NHSC positions, the continuation of this position is subject to the availability of sufficient grant funding resources. In addition, all NHSC employees may be required to be reassigned or work temporarily at any one of the organization's work sites.
