Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing assistance and support to the human resource department. The Human Resources Generalist role includes a variety of day-to-day tasks related to HR operations and supporting the needs of employees. Daily tasks will include assisting and supporting recruiting, onboarding processes, FLMA administration, and payroll.
Essential Duties
1. Performs customer service functions by answering employee’s requests, concerns and questions.
2. Assists with employee performance reviews and exit interviews.
3. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
4. Submits online investigation request and assists with new employee background checks.
5. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
6. Keeps employee electronic and physical files up to date.
8. Assists with onboarding paperwork required to place employee on payroll and establish personnel file.
9. Assists with the hiring process by coordinating job posting on web site, reviewing resumes/applications, scheduling and performing interviews.
10. Assists with onboarding process of new employees.
11. 401k administration.
12. Assist with recruiting efforts including attending career fairs.
