Position: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Wendle Motors
Wendle Motors, a family-owned and operated business since 1943, is looking for a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to a positive and thriving work environment through effective HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and resolution on HR-related matters.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and trust through professional handling of sensitive information.
- Stay informed about various laws, policies, and best practices related to HR.
- Keep employee files and information up to date in all required systems
- Assist in the full cycle of the recruiting process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Generate reports for internal use and annual HR reporting.
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs.
Work Hours:
- Regular day shifts; specific hours to be discussed.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Benefits:
- Salary Range: $20.00 - $29.40 per hour
- Paid Time Off 1 hour for every 40 hours worked during the plan year (approximately 40 hours based on full-time employment). PTO accrual is increased based on years of service.

Requirements:
- Current knowledge of HR practices and legal compliance.
- Proven attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
- Self-directed and takes initiative.
- Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on conflict resolution and employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing sensitive issues and de-escalating conflict.
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of constructive feedback and self-improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on creating solutions that are within the employees' control.
- Professional and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptable/flexible to changing work assignments.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional growth.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
