Old Sturbridge Village seeks a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role you will you will support all the HR functions of the organization including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
This newly added role to our Human Resources team will be instrumental in the varied functions of human resources for all staff members at the museums (Old Sturbridge Village and Coggeshall Farm Museum) as well as academies (Old Sturbridge Academy and Worcester Cultural Academy).

Key Responsibilities
- Process multiple payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees for Old Sturbridge Inc. (Old Sturbridge Village, Old Sturbridge Academy, Worcester Cultural Academy, and Coggeshall Farm).
- Conduct recruitment activities for varied positions within OSV and academies
- Establish partnerships with community organizations, colleges, and universities to create diversified pools of qualified applicants
- Create and maintain various reports including applicant tracking, vacancy, and turnover
- Onboard new employees ensuring compliance with governing regulations
- Provide counseling to employees on employee relations, policy, and procedure
- Maintain HRIS system with current employee data and information
- Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
- Manages HR policy and programs such as PFML/LOA, Benefits, W/C, COBRA, etc.
- Conduct new hire orientation and other employee training
About You

- You have at least a Bachelor’s degree
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources roles
- You have professional maturity and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- You are a problem solver with a proven ability to design and implement systems
- You are technology savvy with excellent command of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- You are a strong team player and highly energetic
