PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
- Leads and enhances the human resource functions by positioning the company as a place to culitivate a career by current employees and prospective ones. Along with the leadership staff responsible for culitivating highly-valued employees and teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the development, implementation, and management of recruitment and employment processes and accompanying record retention practices.
- Delivers consultation, coaching, and counseling to supervisors regarding employee relations programs, including job performance, training and development, workplace and employee issues, and monitoring the workplace environment.
- Implements, facilitates, and maintains company performance management, salary administration, job analysis, and paid time-off program.
- Provides, in coordination with Safety, leadership for federal and state compliance functions, standards of conduct and privacy, company policies, and ethical issues.
- Serves as the primary contact for the company’s benefits area. Oversees communication for the retirement plans, benefit plans and wellness programs.
- Assists the Business Manager with compliant payroll services.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with the GROWMARK’s University Relations area to ensure internship and new college graduate recruiting needs are met by providing direct leadership in the areas of sourcing, recruiting, screening, referring, and hiring of qualified candidates.
- In conjunction with the leadership staff develops, analyzes, and implements succession planning strategies.
- Assists with appropriate planning and budgeting inputs for areas relating to human resources and the position needs.
- Follows Three Rivers FS’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of human resources and/or business leadership experience.
- Normally requires a professional human resources certification or the ability to obtain one within three years of employment to demonstrate advanced knowledge in human resources. Successful re-certification is required in accordance with the certification thereafter.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must have the ability to travel independently, frequently, and overnight when necessary to company/corporate/regional meetings, university/college locations, training sessions, and recruiting events.
- Ability to maintain absolute professional confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Ability to load, transport, unload, set-up, and take down career/job fair displays.
- Frequently required to lift and move 21 – 50 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education Three Rivers FS’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
