Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. Collaborates with leadership on special projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Human Resources Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The work - How you will contribute: In accordance with the Wallick Mission and Values, you will support the Meadow Valley Senior Living Community through a full cycle of HR functions to include recruiting, pre-screening, orientation and onboarding, employee file compliance, training completion tracking, and general associate support to include benefit enrollment and questions, and associate relations concerns.   

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:   

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle to meet the needs of the community.
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent throughout the organization.
    • Implement effective recruiting strategies and effectively drive candidates through the hiring funnel.
    • Phone screen applicants and schedule interviews
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience for all walk-in applicants.
    • Onboard new hires to schedule and ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed prior to orientation.
    • Ensure all associates files are complying with state and regulatory agency compliance.
    • Maintain BCI log.
    • Conduct orientation, including communicating with new hires, arranging transportation (when applicable), preparing orientation packets, maintaining onboarding computers and room set-up.
    • Follow up with associates to ensure trainings are completed timely by assisting with accessing computers, logging into trainings, and ensuring completion.
    • Collaborate with Learning and Development team to run and review audit reports for I9 and WOTC to keep the integrity and 100% accuracy of the database.  Make corrections as necessary.
    • Track TB testing and assist with ensuring associates have TB results read within guidelines. 

       

    What you bring to the table:   

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role with an emphasis on recruiting and onboarding
    • Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
