Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. QUALIFICATIONS for the position of Human Resource Manager:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· 2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
· 2 years’ experience in Healthcare (Long Term Care Preferred).
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Human Resource Manager include, but are not limited to:
· Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
· Responds to employee relations issues.
· Monitors the performance evaluation program.
· Communicates benefits information to employees.
· Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill job openings.
· Conducts new hire orientations.
· Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
· Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
· Responsible for auditing employee personnel files, keeping them current.
· Maintains working relationship with union officials and terms of labor contract.
· Reports, maintains and monitors Workers' Compensation, LOA, FMLA cases.
Processes unemployment claims - attends unemployment hearings, if needed.
· Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
