Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Benefits
Benefits reconciliation between Paycor and our vendors to ensure all are enrolled properly, the appropriate amounts are being deducted and accounted for:
Medical Provider
Voluntary Benefits Provider
WEX (FSA/HSA) Also, working with accounting with closed accounts that need to be rectified or refunded.
Empower (401K)
Field questions from our employees and help resolve issues with our vendors.
Handling Leave of Absence and tracking.
American with Disabilities (ADA) accommodation tracking.
DOT Program Oversite:
Ensure all background checks are tracked and accounted for each employee in the company.
Work with HR Director to discuss backgrounds that have adverse results.
Ensure all Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) follow our standards and procedures.
Work with HR Director and Operational Teams with MVR’s that are not in compliance or fall out of compliance.
Run high risk MVR’s every 6 months to ensure they stay within compliance.
Previous Employer Check (PEC) form compliance and tracking.
Ensure that all PEC forms sent by our training team are in DISA and complaint.
Track and report to areas not in compliance and ensure forms are received and in DISA for full compliance.
Recruiting:
Help with the smaller markets Alabama, New Jersey, & Virginia with sourcing candidates
Foster long-term relationships with current, past applicants, and potential candidates
Jira system tickets (for states assigned)
New Hire list over to team for set-up of all systems.
Work w/DHR on any codes or areas that need to be added into JIRA forms.
Payroll System (for States assigned)
Posting and monitoring Requisitions
New Hire Offer letters
Onboarding documentation
Non-Exempt promotions
Upkeep of our staffing spreadsheets with any PAF’s entered.
Travel:
Must be able to travel for work.
For new areas and start-ups, you will be sent on the ground to help get things started for HR support and recruiting. This could entail days or weeks, so it is a requirement that you are flexible to travel.
Unemployment:
Unemployment oversight
Respond to all unemployment claims.
If a hearing is requested, determine who shall attend the hearing based on the facts of the case and response.
Work Opportunity Tax Credit oversite (WOTC)
Ensure all surveys are complete and submitted. Work with trainers if an employee is incomplete.
Maximize all credits for the company.
Other duties or projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven work experience as a Human Resources Manager, Recruiter, or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations.
Ability to keep up with industry trends.
Qualifications / Job Requirements:
Degree in HR Management or related experience in field
Physical and Safety Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
