Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. Collaborates with leadership on special projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. This exempt position must be onsite five days a week, though remote work is possible in the future. It is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional weekend remote work as an issue arises.
This incredible and growing national military-based community service organization that offers wellness, fitness, childcare, food assistance, and more seeks a Human Resources Manager who will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function of 30 full-time staff and 150 part-time staff over 3 branches in and around Killeen, TX.
Essential Functions:
Required Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree or 9 years of equivalent experience
5 years of human resource generalist, coordinator, supervisor, or manager experience, including exposure to complex employee relations issues, recruitment, and selection.
Preferred Education and Certifications:
SHRM or HRCI Certified Professional SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR, or ability to attain the same within six months of employment.
