Job Summary
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day generalist functions as well as the benefit administration and leave management programs. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for carrying-out human resources policies, procedures, and best practices while working with the team in advancing a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion for a rapidly growing, multi-state firm.
Work Performed and Job Requirements
Education/Training
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business management is required, with a concentration in Human Resource Management a plus. Master’s degree in human resource management is strongly preferred. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is required. IFEBP certification is desired.
Experience
Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience with a mid-size employer (> 1,000 employees, less than 4,000 employees) in a dedicated HR role effectively overseeing an HR team - ideally within a multi-state environment is required (experience should include California).
Additionally, a minimum of 5 years proven experience with employee benefits administration is necessary. Experience with benefits administration in UKG is a plus.
